 Western Telephone Construction Co. (Chicago, Ill) glass battery Jar is in good condition (although dirty); there is one chip in the inside surface of the rim (see pix).  The instruction label is 95% present and is about 20% legible; the label is in poor condition.  The label states “The Western Giant.”  The marked insert looks like it has been used and is in very good condition.  The initials “E.C.W.” are embossed on the top of the carbon element.  Both the porcelain collar and the metal rod are reproductions.

Fitch Perfect Battery Chlorine Excitant,”  “Tradematk, Patented.”  The carbon insert in unmarked and looks like it has been used; it is in very good condition.  Both the porcelain collar and the metal rod are reproductions.

 Unknown manufacturer, square glass battery Jar is in very good condition with no cracks or chips.  Markings in the glass include “Patented May 23, 1882,” “B,” “2W. Line,” and “1 W. Line.”  There is an indent pressed into the bottom corner of the jar.  The carbon insert looks like it has been used and is in very good condition.  The center porcerain collar is old with and old rod in good condition (see pix); the outside porcelain collar and metal rod are reproductions.

(Cleveland Ohio) square glass battery Jar is labeled “Carbon Porous Cup Cell No. 2.  The jar is in v ery good condition with no chips or cracks; the rim is rough (see pix).  There is waxy residue/crystals all around the top of the jar (see pix); this residue scrapes off.  There are black marks on the inside of the jar that rubs off easily (see pix).  There is one dimple in the center of the bottom surface of the jar.  The jar is labeled with 98% of the paper nametag/ instructions label; 100 % of the label is legible.  The label is in very good condition.  There is an unmarked carbon insert in the jar that looks like it has been used; it is in very good condition.  One of the “rubber spacers” is loose in the bottom of the jar.  Both the porcelain collar and the metal rod are old.

Seroco square (bluish) glass battery Jar is in good condition; there is a triangular piece of glass (about 1 square inch in area) missing at the top rim of the jar.  The initials “UA” are embossed on the bottom of the jar.  The paper instruction label is 100 % intact on the jar and is still in very good condition; the pringint is about 95% legible.  The label reads: “Seroco Carbon Battery for open circuit service.”  The carbon insert is unmarked and looks like it has been used; it is still in very good condition.  Both the porcelain collar and the metal rod are reproductions.
