Given its age and prior use both the wood and finish are in good condition. Mr. E. B Overshiner, president of the Swedish-American telephone company, Chicago, was the organizer of the Dominion Telephone Co. (See page 513 of Ron Knappen's history book) Sweedish-American parts and technology were put to use in the formation of the Dominion Telephone Mfg. Co. There is a hairline glue joint separation in the bottom of the door and the backboard. It needs to be re-glued and clamped. There is a water stain on the door adjacent to the shelf. Item 3218 is a Rumsey-Sikemeir single box picture Frame Front Cathedral top type wood wall phone. It is made of quarter-sawed oak. The overall condition of the wood is good but the overall condition of the finish is not so good. There is a split at the bottom of the backboard at the glue joint. There is a metal tag on the door that reads: "Rumsey-Sikemeier Co. 19th & Pine St. Louis". The receiver is old and marked Kellogg. The transmitter is old and unmarked. The mouthpiece is new and the receiver cord is also new. Has a 5-bar magneto it is unmarked and rings when cranked. The switch-hook and ringer are correct.

The shelf is new, There is a slight separation of finger joints top right of box and bottom right of the box. The bells are nickle. The receiver is a stromberg Carlson unmarked. the mouthpiece has a small chip. There is a 5 bar magneto that rings
